Ida [email protected] Hi Ida Done a bit more digging. I looked at John Brown McDougall's birth, Neil McDougall's 2nd marriage and death. I've attached copies of these entries. I wondered if they would show something. John Brown McDougall's birth entry shows his parents, as Neil and Agnes Brown, married in Irvine (AYR) on 16/1/1884. Neil and Agnes's marriage entry only shows him as being widowed. However his death entry - in which intertestingly he's shown as Nigel - shows his 1st wife as ____ Munro. I also found the Canadian child - Somerled - missing from the 1881 Census.
