Doreen After Margaret had natural dau Ann, she had a natural son John born 1881. This John was registered as a Stewart (because his mother was Stewart by marriage), but he preferred to be called John McLean We are now connected via marriage !! This John Stewart/McLean's second marriage was to Belle Campbell LAMONT, and Belle is the dau of my G-gran's (Mary Lamont) first cousin (John Auljdo Lamont and wife Ann McDonald) If you look for them, you will see obituaries on site, and John McLean is mentioned as son-in-law of John Auldjo Lamont There are also pics of my Mary Lamont, John Auldjo Lamont, and John's sister Janet/Jessie All good eh ? Since we're discussing various McNiven/MacNiven families, I thought I share my connection. Janet MacNiven (b.1883) married Archibald McArthur (b.12 Mar 1874 to Dugald McArthur/Catherine MacArthur) in 1909. They had six known children: Dugald, Mary K., Neil N., Careiona, Eliddh and Margaret. I know Ida has a 99-year rule for the list so if anyone wants further information on the children, please contact me off-list. Janet MacNiven's parents were: Neil MacNiven (b.1853 Tiree) and Mary McFadyen (b.1855 Tiree d. 1922).
