Hmmmm interesting! I am a Mull descendant on my father's side (Fletcher, McKinnon, McPhail, McLean, Paterson, McArthur) and have the discomfort of plantar fasciitis too. However, what I inherited from my father is not high arches, but nearly flat feet! The other conditions that prevail in his maternal side (McKinnon, McArthur, McLean) are migraines and cancer (mostly breast and ovarian ... suspected BRCA gene involvement) with plenty modern day sufferers of both in my family.
