I have a Duncan McNiven named as the father of Annie McNiven born to Margaret Mclean or Stewart. I have been unable to unravel the relationship!Annie married James B Robertson at The Schoolhouse Pennygael in June 1896. Duncan McNiven is listed as shepherd. Margaret appears to have been married to John Stewart in 1863.Annie died in 1945 in Pennygael,parents listed as marriage certificate except "Mc" changed to "Mac" Doreen

Doreen Your Margaret McLean born circa 1834 Kilfinichen to parents Charles/Mary McInnes, died 1907 Aird Kinloch She married John Stewart 1863 Kilfinichen. John died shortly afterwards. Margaret had a relationship with Duncan McNiven which produced natural dau Ann 1873-1945. I show Ann with surname STEWART (MCLEAN-MCNIVEN).
