    3. Michael, We may be at cross purposes (again!). I have my original SP account. Over the last couple of years I've attended two short courses on Genealogy research at my local library and the Mitchell in Glasgow, on both courses free credits were given and also discounted credits were offered. Couple of cons to this; 1. You cannot amalgamate the accounts, therefore your research is spread over various accounts (3 in my case). 2. If you wish discounted credits you have to visit the library to purchase (no big deal). I have not lost any research by it being removed by SP and don't think it will happen. 3. Hi, Was just going to mention the Mitchell Library. You can get 60 credits for your £7 instead of 30. As you say you cant amalgamate them, you just open another account up, using the access number on the card you are given. I too was worried about losing my research and contacted SP who assured me it was ok to have the new account. 3. As i'd said to John, my local library told me 'one account only' with SP, and that 'you lose search history'. Now I can see me creating another :) These cheaper credits might be difficult to get though, due to budget cuts Michael ----- Original Message ----- From: "margaret murray" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, August 07, 2011 1:16 PM Subject: Re: [SCT-ISLEOFMULL] Free credits from Scotland's People Hi, Was just going to mention the Mitchell Library.
