At first I was a bit wary of Michael due to the my belief that there was no need for two sites. Having corresponded with Michael I would endorse what Jim has said. It's a pity that the two sites cannot be merged and have one repository for all our information. Looks like this will not happen any time soon, two is better than none though. Michael was dissatisfied with the original Mull site, and after trying to improve it without success, he did something about it, and should be congratulated for the time and effort expended. Any contact I have had has been courteous, correct and swift. The original site is a great resounce, but it has its faults. There is room for another site and noone should be asking people to take sides, decrying the other, or asking for expulsions. I agree with both the posters here and if this is the end of it all I'll wait and see.If Ida continues to attack people, then I will reconsider and pull out, as researching is hard enough for me as it is and I live on Mull, I don't need any distractions.
