Wishing all list members a joyous Christmas & happy New Year. A beautiful warm sunny Christmas morning here in Ashburton, New Zealand. Spare a thought for the folk of Christchurch. Since the initial aftershocks of 5.8, 5.3, 6.0 & 5.0 over a four hour period last Friday afternoon there have been in excess of 60 shakes registering over 3.00 on the Richter scale. Fortunately we on the outskirts of Ashburton are far enough away to feel the larger shakes but not suffer any damage. Regards Malcolm ME and PM McCormick
