Hi Elizabeth: I am just guessing that Christina McIntyre 22 is really Christina McDonald: Ronald MacDonald, late crofter at Heanish and Christina MacIntyre his wife had a daughter born 24/3/1835/ and bap. under the name Christina. Alex MacIntyre had acted as sponsor. And that this is her in 1841 (age 6): household - name - age - occupation - location - born in county 1841 census 786 McINTYRE Alexander 35 Crofter Kenvary Yes 786 McINTYRE Mary 30 Kenvary Yes 786 McINTYRE Catherine 12 Kenvary Yes 786 McINTYRE Marion 10 Kenvary Yes 786 McINTYRE Ann 8 Kenvary Yes 786 McINTYRE Mary 6 Kenvary Yes 786 McINTYRE Margaret 4 Kenvary Yes 787 McINTYRE Ann 60 Kenvary Yes 787 McINTYRE Malcolm 25 Crofter Kenvary Yes 787 McINTYRE Neil 25 tailor Kenvary Yes 787 McINTYRE Isabella 20 Kenvary Yes 787 McDONALD Christina 6 Kenvary Yes My John McDonald can be documented as born in Tiree and moving to Grey. I just haven't been able to find a definite link to his wife Christina (i.e. their marriage). His first child was born 1867 and Ontario civil registration began 1886. Perhaps the reason I can't find it is that this Victoria Christina was his wife and she was a Congregationalist. From my records are the follow ing: My John McDonald of Mariposa Township married Christy McPherson in Eldon Twp, Victoria County on 24.4.1850. His sister Christy married Alexander McDonald in Mariposa Twp, Victoria County on 26.3.1850. Do you know the parents of Christy or is that what you are tryi ng to determine? How do you know she, though in Grey County, has a connection with Victoria County? Was your Christy born in Canada or Scotland, says the 1861 cens us? All the best. Elizabeth.
