In 1828 the ship St Lawrence carried 208 passengers from Greenock/Tobermory to Ship Harbour, Cape Breton , Canada. The passenger list published in J.L. MacDougall's (1922) book "History of Inverness County, Nova Scotia" states that all the passengers were from Rum. However it is known that at least one family was from Coll, and it has been suggested that some other families were from Muck. I am working on a searchable Excel spreadsheet of the passenger list for the Emigrant Ships page of the Coll Genealogy website, and would appreciate any information about the origin of passengers on this ship. ___________________________________________ Keith Dash Sydney, Australua Isle of Tiree Genealogy: www.tireegenealogy.com Isle of Coll Genealogy: www.collgenealogy.com
