    3. Thanks to all who have sent me condolences for my mother's recent death (Jean Olive McMillan). She was 98.5! And until the last 6y months of her life, she was active, alert, engaged and interested and fascinated by all that I was able to fin out about her family and my father's from lists such as this one and from the internet. The internet was not a medium that was clear to her - and yet she loved to look at the info that I had on my computer and through the wireless connection in our house (she lived with us until reasonably recently), I could sit with her and wander around the internet and show her places and how I was doing the research. Every day when I was in Mull last year for the MUGG, I write a diary and emailed it back to her and she loved to read it all and imagine how it was all going. She will be sadly missed by all of our family and her many friends (of so many different ages), and in particular by Harry Petras (my husband) and our sons, Callum and Lachlan. Harry gave the eulogy at her funeral and among many things that he said about her, the two salient characteristics that he stressed were her capacity to listen and her kindness and non-judgemental acceptant of others. We had the bagpipes - it was fantastic. She would have loved being there, and felt honoured by the people who came - there were over 200 people at her funeral. I am returning to Samoa now until about October am feeling rather sad about that - but am lightened by the fact that Jan Peasnell is coming to stay with me on the 17th Feb. Thanks again to you all, Regards Libby McMillan

    3. Hi Jean, Will it be possible for those of us unable to attend to post a descendancy list with our contact email address somewhere? Gail Rothlin in Switzerland -----Ursprungliche Nachricht----- Von: sct-isleofmull-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:sct-isleofmull-bounces@rootsweb.com]Im Auftrag von jean whimp Gesendet: Sonntag, 4. Februar 2007 02:20 An: sct-isleofmull@rootsweb.com Betreff: [SCT-ISLEOFMULL] Maclean database A reminder to all the Maclean descendants who are considering coming to Mull from 19-24th June for the International Gathering of the Clan Maclean association. If you haven't already done so I recommend a look at the website www.maclean.org . We will have a centre in the Aros Hall that will be devoted to Genealogy/History and Gaelic interests and hopefully will have Ian there to share his database from Tuesday to Friday. At the last gathering we asked people to bring their family trees to pin up for the week, or their family history booklet to put on show. You can also make sure that you have entered your genealogy on the Maclean website under the section genealogy. Looking forward to meeting up with lots of Maclean descendants who are also on this newsgroup.
