    2. Hoping Colin Shaw will read this. Who is Col McDonald? Just wondered because I am searching Ann McDonald, McNeil, Lvingston, and a Janet McLean/Lain that I can't seem to find. Just so many of the names seem the same except for McCormack. 3. I also have high arches, and it is a nuisance; buying skates as a kid was especially difficult.  However, I am not certain whether it is from my MacCallum line (like my friend Allan Gagnon, my MacCallum family roots are Pictou Island, Nova Scotia via Tiree and originally from Mull) or from my mother (at best, 1/16th Scottish), who also had high arches.  If my father had them, he never complained about them.    If anyone is interested in my book on Pictou Island (see Al's email, below), contact me privately for details.  Al didn't mention that  he and his late mother provided me with a lot of information and photographs that were used in the book.   Ken MacCallum ________________________________ From: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Tue, August 9, 2011 6:30:51 PM Subject: [SCT-ISLEOFMULL] Medical Condition Hi Jim, Seems like our MacFarlane -  MacCallum lines might be connected in more ways than one. I also have feet  with high arches. I used to call them my battle clubs; short, wide and high  arches. Made getting shoes a royal pain in the butt. My Dad had long narrow  feet so not likely to come from his side. My Pictou Island lines also had some  fore-telling abilities as mentioned in your earlier post.  Anyone who  would like to read about the people and history of Pictou Island( quite a few  who have Mull ties) should look up the book" PICTOU ISLAND, NOVA SCOTIA: ITS  HISTORY and PEOPLE" by KENNETH MACCALLUM.Total of 595 pages. PS, first version goofed up and didn't go through. Allan D.
