I believe I have it, to a certain degree. As a child a Romany told my grandmother "She's one of us" and whilst I realise that to have "fey", one isnt always Romany, I think what she meant was all the definitions of being fey. Sometimes its quite a burden, whilst at others a sort of advanced recognition with a positive benefit ;-) Janet ----- Original Message ----- From: "IMANSON" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, August 11, 2011 12:10 AM Subject: Re: [SCT-ISLEOFMULL] Medical Condition > Yes that could be it Janet. Yes, I try to eliminate the options every time, but when I experienced several visitations ( the only word I can think of right now) at night-time a few years ago this threw me entirely, so much so that I had to move to another bedroom. This has happened on a few occasions in my life, but more so in my adult life. At times I get a terrible feeling of foreboding. When this is linked with an incident, I try to tell myself it is coincidence. However this does not work when I wake up and someone is walking through my bedroom door. Having moved recently, all is well for the present. hello Jill sorry I can't remember which book but since living on the islands and with several books around on the subject I read quite a few some years ago now, one explained in a very logical and at times provable way that the selkie was infact Inuit people dressed in seal skin and travelling in seal covered kayaks, he even showed proof that Inuits had made the journey in earlier centuries, as local highland and island people had never seen people like this before they made a folklore of people from the sea, the book conviced me that there was much truth and logic in what he said, Frances --- On Thu, 11/8/11, Jill Allford <[email protected]> wrote: Guess I'm veering away from genealogy. First - Hoping everyone on That Side of the Pond is Safe!!! The news reports are just so awful. ---- Second - I discovered I made a mistake on the death/burial dates of Donald Beaton and Margery Grant Beaton. Does anyone have access to Canadian burial sites? Would it be possible to see if they are buried with Donald's parents Duncan and Jessie Beaton in St Paul's Presbyterian church Cemetery in Vaughn, York, Ontario? I can't find the records for either but I think Margery died in Chicago ca 1912 & was sent to St. Paul's to be with Donald. I remember looking the Beaton Monument when I was in the cemetery. I have seen info on this but can't figure out where.....I have pix but I can't find them... Donald died ca 1890. (I found a record for 1897 but its the wrong DB who was on the other side of the province.) Margery died after 1910 as she appears on the 1910 US census in Chicago... I just checked the burial sites listed on MullGenealogy for each person. Under St. Paul's, saw Margery Grant 1828-1912.... clicked on it to see if DB was there and the MG site blocked me AGAIN!! However, the birthyear for Margery is correct..... Any assistance is greatly appreciated as always, Please and thanks! Heather Beaton originally i sent this on 8/10. if there is a duplication - apologies.
