    3. Hi List: I think what we may be missing is that some of the Scots had middle names which were not necessarily recorded in the birth or census records. The OPR recorded first name of my gg grandmother was Euphemia and she appeared in all records as Jannet. Margaret and Janet are not usually considered interchangeable.
