Hi friends, I recently picked up an old book called"The Songs of Scotland" Royal edition, dated 1877. In it I found a song called "The Maid of Islay", no composer's name, but it has both the music and the lyrics. I have no idea how old the song really is,but its lyrics are very poetic and romantic; definitely not about the steamship by that name.
