    1. Re: [SCT-ISLAY] Narrative about Early settlers
    2. Hi mary- I haven't meant to ignore you, but it's been busy around here. And now I'm about to head off for a wonderful week in St. Lucia. I am fdefintiley interesting in ordering your narrative; I'll get to that when I get back. Re. my McDougalls, they were right there in your neck of the woods. Arran Twp, Port Elgin, Burgoyne. My folks came over in the late 1870s and 1880s; later than most folks left Islay, which I guess explains why they ended up somewhat farther west. I had the pleasure of a very quick trip up there in the summer of 2003, but I had my husband and daughter in tow, so I was limited in the time I coud spend exploring both records and countryside. I've been meaning to get back up there by myself sometime, but it's a LONG drive! Later- Steffenie Kirkpatrick
