    3. Q 1`. Is there anyone who has a McLugash/McDougall name change in their ancestry? Q 2 . Can anyone tell me why a schoolmaster on Islay from 1828 - 1842 (who only taught at very small schools) would be able to write VERY ambitious and erudite letters? My theory is that he could have been the younger son of landowners, possibly on the mainland(Oban). His name was Alexander McDougall, (b. poss. abt. 1785 +) and his birth is still a mystery after 20 years of research. Thanks, Celia.
