Re the current search for CaldersÂ…. All Calders did not leave Islay in the early years. About 1881 Margaret McKenzie (1866- ?) married a Calder, first name not know, possibly in Kilchoman Parish. They later moved to Canada. There was a report in the family of a Frank Calder living in Ontario but I have not been able to identify him. I realize this is pretty thin and fuzzy information but maybe someone will see a link.
