I am trying to see if there is a connection between Sarah McLachlan, wife of Alexander McKechnie, died at sea, as the family consisting of John (died at Quebec) Donald b. 1814, Neil b. 1813, Christine b. 1832 and 3 other girls, in l833 and Charles died N.Y. 1830 and Daniel 1785-1887 both of who came to Caledon Twp. (Rockside) in 1820. Charles son, Alexander "poet" McLachlan married his cousin Clemina, daughter of Daniel. Alexander and his mother came later than the above. Daniel is buried in the White Church cemetery in Erin Twp. on the town line. Margaret
