Hi Listers I am trying to find the parents of Cathrine Hunter who married William Reid 7 Mar 1846. Children Mary, Duncan, Janet, Hugh, Cathrine and Marrion. William died in 1867. I haven't found his family on the 1871 census in Scotland nor can I find Cathrine's death registration. But I can find a Catharine Reid who is a widow in Nassagaweya, Halton, Ontario, Canada on the Canadian 1881 census with children Janet, Mary and Hugh. I am not sure it is them but you have to wonder. There is a death for a Catharine Reid in 1886 in Nassagaweya, Halton. She is a widow, age 86 and born in Islay. Again I wonder. Does anyone know for sure? Does anyone have any clues as to who her parents are? Monta Salmon
