Hi List: In the 1851 census of Islay I found several young single women with an occupation that looked like 'Flowerer'. Can anyone shed some light on this or tell me what it is. The writing was not all that bad so I don't think I misread the entries. The age of the women seemed to range between 17 and 25. Ted Larson
