Hi, Would anyone know if there is available online, or anywhere else, a passenger list for the Albion of Glasgow which brought 181 Islay people to Quebec in 1832? Thanks very much. Gay
Hi Gay No, I don't know anything, but this sounds interesting. All of my Islay lines came to Canada in 1832. Malcolm, The family info I have on our McDougalls says they came over on the Albany (in 1831 if I remember correctly). After seeing this on The Albion, I'm wondering if the ship they crossed over on was actually the Albion and not Albany. What do you think? Guess we'll have to wade through all those Google hits for the Albion! Hi again A google search for "Albion" "Glasgow" "1832" and "Quebec" listed 12,200 hits. Got any spare time, anyone? I looked at the first few sites and they are all ships' lists.
