Not true! Most of them still work and, as before, most of them are quicker and easier than the mouse commands (and much better ergonomically). I always know when I have been using my mouse too much - I get a terrible painful knot in the muscles of my upper back. If I go back to using the old keyboard tricks and only use the mouse when absolutely necessary the pain goes away. As an example, I received and read this original message without touching the mouse, then selected the segment above and composed this reply, and now will send it, all without touching the mouse. I use Windows XP, and have maintained my use of the keyboard shortcuts through about 6 "upgrades" of operating systems, starting with DOS well over 20 years ago. When taking a few courses at different times during the 90s, instructors informed the classes that the old tricks were no longer possible. I interrupted the instructors, demonstrated that (most of them) still worked, to the amazement of the instructors. I think it was a "plot" to indoctrinate the instructors that one had to use the mouse, and then send them out to infect the rest of us. Agreed - but how many computer users know what DOS is let alone what it was before MS Windows - remember the Sinclair ZX or the Commodore. As I said "... we're all cocooned by the Windows interface" Best Wishes Les
