    1. Alexander Currie died 1856 Chinguacousy
    2. Hi everyone: Does anyone have info on Alexander Currie who died about February 29 1856 ( according to his will). It looks like he is buried in Boston Mills Cemetery aged 30 Looks as though he is buried with his parents Alexander Currie died April 16 April 1856 aged 75 years Native of Argyllshire Mary wife of above died 7th March 1848 aged 60 years In his will, he leaves his estate to his sister Sarah Currie wife of Thomas French His Brother Lachlan Currie of Sydeham township and brother Duncan Currie of Chinguacousy. I am trying to establish whether these Curries may be related to Donald Currie ( 1806-1877) who also lived in the Cheltenham district from about 1835 to 1854 ( before moving to Bruce County). I think that Donald owned part ( 29 acres) of Lot 29 Conc 4 in Chinguacousy West and east half 100 acres of Lot 31 Conc. 4 and Alexander Currie Senior owned Lot 26 Conc. 3 in Chinguacousy West ( looks like son Duncan got West 100 acres in April 1851 and son Alex the east 100 acres in April 1852) There was also a note in the Perkins Bull papers that there was an 1837 Directory that listed an Alex Curry at Lot 26 Con 3 and a Donald Curry Lot 12 Conc 5. Does anyone know or have a copy of that directory? Of course I am assuming that Alexander was from Islay like Donald. Any info appreciated. Thanks Anne Goeden
