My information indicates that you are on the right track regarding James, John and Catherine McLarty born on Islay, are the children of Archibald McLarty and Catherine MacInnes. Beyond their names and where they were born I cannot add any information to what you have. Yes, I am aware that Isabella McLarty (b 1808),married to Douglad McCallum, is Donald's sister. Her first son born in Canada, Duglad McCallum was was born November 09, 1845, in St Andrews, Carrillon, Quebec. This is the same community where Nancy MacLarty's relative, Duglad McLarty, s/o Donald McLarty and Mary Love was born in 1843. I'd say she would be the best resource for you. Now to the Donald McLarty b. November 1839, who appears on the 1900 & 1910 U.S. Census in North Dakota. Unfortunately his parent's names are not listed. His wife's name was Margery who was born in Scotland, in March 1850. Their children were Donald b. May 1878, Christine b. June 1881, Catherine b. May 1888, Maria b. June 1891, Dougall b. May 1896, and David b. July 1884. There were 10 children born to this family and 10 children living at the time of the census. Donald and Margery were married in Canada in 1871/1872. It is possible that the four missing children were born between 1873-1877. I am sorry that I cannot fill in the names at this time. Sharon Huber, Bellingham, Washington
