    3. Re 7. Is this an Islay picture? (Norma Callicott) I was most interested to see Norma Callicott's family photo. I have a photo of the man fourth from the left and possibly also the man on his right. My photo has been sourced from the photo album belonging to Angus Rutherford Johnston and it was taken at some time later and the hairline has receded. Other photos in this collection date from around 1880 to 1900. I have posted Angus's photo album on the net at http://groups.msn.com/JohnstonsofIslay/homepage and this is photo 18. Unfortunately we don't know who these men are either. Angus Rutherford Johnston was the son of Angus Johnston (1801) and Mary Campbell and grandson of Duncan Johnston (born 1765) and Catherine McIntyre. Angus was born in Glasgow in 1838 showed up in Islay for the 1841 census and then became something of an Indiana Jones figure travelling through South America, was shipwrecked and captured by Indians, joining in on the San Francisco gold rush and then goldmining in Canada before becoming a successful merchant in Nanaimo, Vancouver Island Angus's photos may be Johnstons, Campbells or his wife's family. Fellow Johnstons are encouraged to post their photos on this site to share our images and maybe even join a few missing dots.
