    2. I'm forwarding this to the Islay List because of at least one mention of a marriage of an Islay person. I have noticed in the past that there are fairly frequent mentions, in these BMDs from the transcriptions of the Wigtownshire Free Press notices in the mid 1800s, of events about Islay persons. Perhaps Wayne could add the Islay List to his distribution?
