Hi John: The Glenarm book, Hardscrabble, on page 37 says that Ronald Gilchrist sold 1 acre of land in the west half of lot 19, Concession 1 to the Church of Scotland on 5 March 1867. On this land the first church in Glenarm was built and part of the land was used for a cemetery. Is this the same land that you are referring to. Ronald's brother James may have been the first to be buried there according to the book. There is a small problem with that as James died in 1865.
