    1. McEachern's of Islay
    2. Hi all, Am hoping someone can assist with information on the McEachern family. I am descended from Donald McEacherna and Mary Hill of Bridgend. Am looking for information on Donald's brother John and his family who farmed at Leek Gruissart from 1840's through to 1900's. Donald's son James died at Leek Gruissart aged 93 in 1901, leaving a son Donald who was 47 at the time. I don't know if Donald ever married or died a batchelor. James' brother Neil returned to Islay from Glasgow in the 1840's following the death of his wife, Neil and three of his children Alexander, Donald and Mary lived at Leek Gruissart but don't know what happened to them. According to some sources there are supposed to be descendants of this family still on Islay, but I have not been able to locate them. Any help would be appreciated.
