Hi Sue, Do you have your McCuaigs traced back to the 1790s? I know we've talked about my McCuaigs before but when I read your posting, I realized that I have come across a scrap of info from family history that could tie our families together. I think I told you about Margaret McCuaig who married Peter Angus McDougall on July 24 1813 in Kildalton Parish and resided at Grasdale prior to emigration to Thorah Twp , Ontario Co. Canada in 1831. The info I found says that Margaret lived at Kintra prior to her marriage. Margaret was born about 1793/1794 and died Aug 15, 1869. Do you see any connections with your family? I don't know her parents' names but their children were Duncan, Alexander, Christena (Christian), Peter, & Angus. Peter Angus' parents were Alexander McDougall and Christian Sinclair. Do you suppose Margaret's father was named Duncan? I would love your feedback. I'll have to go check and see if I can find any birth info in the OPRs. The McCannels and Catherine Carmichael McKay were on Neriby Farm in 1841 and came to Glenelg Twp in 1848. Cheerio Sue PS Does Toni have some answers for you with John Sinclair? The Sinclairs are her speciality. ----- Original Message ----- From: "dokey65" To: Sent: Friday, May 05, 2006 1:46 PM Subject: Re: [SCT-ISLAY] RE: Question - Islay Population Clearance Hello there Sue, Are these the McCuaig's that were connected with John Sinclair and Catherine Campbell m.1777 Killarrow?
