Mr Campbell played the pipes during the famous charge of the Highlanders at the Battle of Waterloo, at which engagement he fought with his Reg, the 42nd Highlanders. His family connections are in the high aristocratic circles, his father being a retired army Captain. * Mr and Mrs Alexander McDonald celebrate 60 years of marriage (Sep 7, 1847, nee Mary McDearmid). Aged 23, n/o Argyllshire, Sct. * May 4, 1917 - Sapper Alex Muir, WIA, left Victoria 1916, only in France 6 weeks. N/o Argyleshire, Sct, resident here for several years. Athlete, employed by city as stableman. * My own Taylor family's came from Kintyre. One group coming in 1770 by way of Annabella, to Prince Edward Island, and the next group coming in 1851 on Melissa to Canada, settling in Bruce County, Ont.
