Hello all, I am the grandson of Howard James Campbell b1889 Seattle. His father John Campbell came over from Islay mid 1880’s. I am trying to make the connection to family on Islay. I will be going there to Islay in July 2015 and any information I could find first would be most helpful. My uncle James has John’s journal of that time and although it is very difficult to decipher it has shed some clues: Killslaven as a birthplace of Alexander McDougal in1833 Mary b1829 - Donald b january 9th 1839 Elizabeth b oct 28th 1837 father died june 4th 1861 65 years of age mother died June 25th 1871 60 years of age Any and all help would be greatly appreciated
