Well, I don't have any (known) McMillans but the mention of the McMillan Party prompts me to stop dithering and announce that there will be an Islay Research Day / Gathering in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada in August. I'm going to post the date this week. This will be at the BC Genealogical Society's Walter Draycott Library - lots of research material there - and a friend who is really good at searching Scotland's People on-line will come to help those wanting to try that website. It's been a very long time since we met in Surrey and I know there are at least a couple of new Islay researchers locally so hope they can attend as well as some of us who've been doing this a while. There was no info about Windsor. No Windsor gathering. Is one desired? Carolyn?? The 2005 gathering was in Peterborough. Am not aware of any other Islay descendants in Windsor, though there likely are some. They are keeping their head below the genealogical horizon. I would welcome another Islay gathering in Ontario.
