Hi Janet Firstly, Finlaggan has nothing to do with the issue of the missing BMD databases. Finlaggan was given the Islay Cultural Databas by Roger McWee. A variety of access memberships at differing prices were sold by Finlaggan but the link suddenly stopped and paid members could no longer get information. I know I lost money on this. Roger continued been his usual generous self and continued to share data from the ICD. Roger incorporated BMDs and census data in the ICD but they constitute just a portion of the the ICD. When you access Ted's site as you indicated, you do see the links. However the Births, Marriages and Deaths links do not connect. Thankfully the Portnahaven link still works. The only good thing about all of this is that people are responding, showing there's still life in SCT-ISLAY. It's been too quiet for too long. Regards, Sue Visser
