Hi Lola, Not sure if you already have all this, but I once made a record of children of Donald McCaig and Betsy Brown: Ann (1806), John (1809), Mary (yours), Margaret (1813), Alex (1815) and Marion (1818). Extended families sometimes shared accommodations, so could Hugh have ended up living with one of them - somewhere off Islay? Brick walls are a pain.
