I believe it was Edward King of this list who was interested in the Ray/Darrach family of Islay, then North Carolina, then Eldon township in Ontario. I was just finally reading the Journal of the North Carolina Scottish Heritage Society, when I found a very long and detailed article about this family and its descendants. The one who came to Ontario was John, son of Gilbert son of Gilbert, son of John, if that helps you. Edward, if you are not a member of that Society, I can give you a summary of the article, or direct you to getting a copy of the journal for yourself. There is also an excellent article by Douglas Purcell, who is, or was a member of this list too, regarding the dna connection between the Purcells and Maloy family. Toni
