Dear Ken: When I visited Islay for the gathering, my flight was cancelled from Glasgow because of fog. I ended up taking the ferry at the last minute. My suggestion is to just take the ferry. More reliable. I have wonderful memories of the scenery but most of all the people who attended and provided so much great information! Elaine Scott moved to Islay later. I hope you have a wonderful time!
