Alexander purchased, grew, and sold cotton to his brother Peter Dallas, Cochran St., Glasgow, Scotland, before his death in a gin accident in 1858. I'm trying to document what happened to him immediately before he came to USA, 1820, Wilmington, North Carolina, and was naturalized in 1825, Chesterfield Co., SC, removing to Alabama shortly thereafter where he was joined by another brother William and family.
