I'm descended from Donald McCuaig who was living at Coilabuss in the 1841 census but had died by the 1851 census and the details I have gathered from the census make me believe that he is the Donald McCuaig mentioned in your email in 1848 (and earlier): Donald M'Cuaig ?11.13s.10d., 1833 for 13 years till 1846 now year to year.
