Hi Roger - My details are from the OPR, but looking back at this, I can well see how it could be interpreted as Beatrix McQueen rather than McEwen. The date is 29-Jan, so undoubtedly the same marriage. I still think the 3rd letter looks more like an 'E' rather than a 'Q'. Are either McEwen or McQueen known Islay surnames?
