Roger Yes, we have "chatted" before about "my" Donald McCuaig. You made a comment about Donald's father being John McCuaig. This I have guessed since Donald's eldest son could have been John (well eldes living son was at Donald's death according to Catherine McEwing's death certificate) and therefore named after Donald's father. Do you have any evidence? Also do you have any information on Donald's son John who I assume emigrated to Canada before 1851 as next brother Archibald took over running the "farm" after Donald died. (Assumption based on 1851 Census where Archibald and wife and family and mother Catherine lived with sister Flora). I can not remember - are you descended from any of these McCuaigs?
