    3. I am striving to uncover any information regarding my G.G.G.Grandparents: Andrew McNab & Anne Campbell. What information that I do have is taken from the records of their children, in particular one son, my G.G.Grandfather Finlay McNab who was born to Andrew (mother not mentioned) in 1795 at Ballychatrigan. Finlay married Elizabeth McCuaig c.1824 and they settled and raised their children in Cragabus. Finlay died there in 1861 and his death certificate confirms that his parents were Andrew McNab & Anne Campbell. (both deceased) There are mentions of Andrew in the records of Ballychatrigan, including The 1811 Tenants' List, The 1828 Black Book and in the 1836 Tenants' List. However, I can find no Birth, Marriage or Death records of either this Andrew McNab nor his wife Anne Campbell. This is and has been for several years, my Brick Wall and I am hoping that Roger McWee, Sue Visser , Lorne Campbell or other Listers can help me solve this problem. Regards, Angus Macnab

    3. Angus: I have Alex McNab m Martha Campbell, Ballychatrigan in 1807. Children were John, Robt, Dond born 1808-1810. John married Catherine McNabb (a cousin) in 1838 and my best hunch was her father might have been an Andrew McNabb. There were 3 Catherine's all born within a couple of years of each other in Kildalton so it's rather confusing. This Catherine was born about 1803 I think. I don't have the information in front of me and it's been a while...so the year may be off a little. Census info had her younger than she was (she was older than her husband and you know how census info is anyway). I think it's interesting that several McNabb men married Campbell women around the same time in Ballychatrigan and maybe Lyrabus. Carolyn
