    3. Hi Don I am trying to research a Peter McArthur born about 1812 I believe in Argyllshire, Scotland. Peter married Mary McEachern about 1845 in Ontario, Canada and had children Alexander, Peter, Duncan Archibald and Catherine. I found a marriage for a Gilbert McArthur and it states his parents were Peter and Mary McEachern, so this is a possiblity as well. Again I believe that Alexander (Sandy) might also be Peter... Peter Alexander (Sandy) McArthur??? I know when Mary died (Dec 7, 1906 in Acton) but have been unable to find where she is buried ????? or where her husband Peter is buried???? Is there any chance in your research you have come across this family???? Thanks Marilyn The names **GIBERT, PETER AND ARCHIBALD MCARTHUR** seem to fit our family. Archibald would have been about 18 in 1811, so I suppose he could have been on the tenant list for Avinlussa. It appears that the Peter Jnr. may have accompanied Arch. to Caledon, Ontario and they bought adjoining farms there in 1820. I haven't been able to find what became of Peter after that though. Don
