Hi Mechelle, I read your article on "Looking for Descendants of the Laphroaig Johnstons" and found it very interesting as I am a direct descendant of the Tallent Farm Johnstons. Duncan Johnston and Catherine McIntyre. As far as I can see Duncan Johnston and Alexander Johnston were cousins. Duncans father was Ronald Johnston and his father was John Johnston who had three sons Ronald, Alexander & Duncan. Alexander's son Alexander & Donald were the ones who started the family of the Laphroaig but it came back to Ronald's Son Duncan his son and Daughter. It's complicated at this point but as I said I'm a direct descendant of Duncan Johnston. Any further information i can help you with, please contact me.
