Jim, Like you, I appreciate this list more than words can say. When I was undergoing cancer treatment way back in 2001, it was often the lifeline that kept me sane in the middle of the night. For those of you who weren't part of this group back then, it was very, very busy! Mostly because it was a fairly new list, and it was "boom time" for the WWW. We don't get as many new members now as we did then, but the helpfulness of our members continues to this day, trying to guide and assist anyone who writes in with a querie. Right now, I'm trying to help someone who is looking for an ancestor in Stirling, and I can't find a list in that area that is half as informative. Many thanks to our originator, Steve Gilchrist, then dear Ted Larson, and now you, Jim, who have been our webmasters for well over a decade. Toni, Glad you are past all of that now! It is a great list, and I have to admit, I'm usually still lurking in the background - trying to scrape up any stray Gilchrist information that may trickle across the net... Warm wishes to all on the list, especially all of us "old-timers"! Cheers, Steve G Seattle -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Toni Sinclair Sent: Sunday, January 31, 2010 3:01 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [SCT-ISLAY] A Birthday Bicentennial and Appreciation Jim, Like you, I appreciate this list more than words can say.
