Hi I believe I have found info on the McLeans as well assuming he came to Canada and settled in Oro, I am still trying to confirm things but you'll see what I have in ancestry for the McLeans as well. I've also ordered a document which I am hoping is our John McLean outlining some details regarding his passage to Canada, when I get it I will scan and send it to you. Regarding Duncan, I found him in Oro as well and there is a writeup about him being in the army during the 1837 rebellion, if you don't have that I can pass that info on too.. His daughter Mary (b 1835) married a John McNiven/McNevin. John was also from Islay and I believe his parents were John McNiven and Ann McLellan. > > Date is Jan 19, 1884: > http://www.waynecook.com/KN-MCLEAN_5.html<http://www.waynecook.com/KN-MCLEAN_5.html> > > Isabella is not listed on the stone. I believe John died between 1881-1884 in Simcoe. There are two possible John McLeans who died in that timeframe and one had a will that went to Probate which I'll look up. > > ------------------------------- > > Quoting the entire text of a previous message in a reply is poor netiquette.
