Thank you for the information about the new book Islay and the Sea". I suppose that most people on the list have Viking DNA like myself so this should open up a few doors. I have had no joy on my Johnston Family descendents from Archibald who married Catherine Keith so I am now trying to see if anyone out there knows anything about the Graham Family who lived on the farm of Island next door to Corary. My 4gt grandfather Ronald Johnston shared the Tack at Island with them and married first Martha Graham and after she died he married her sister Elizabeth as was the custom in the Highlands at that time when there were young children to look after. Do you think that they came down with Campbell of Cawder or did they come over with the Shawfields?
