    3. That's interesting about the family name McCore. I did a quick google of that name and came up with nothing. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Toni Sinclair Sent: Friday, January 29, 2010 8:05 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [SCT-ISLAY] Browns Hi Celia, There was a Donald Brown who married Catharine Sinclair in 1829 (Bowmore parish). His father's name might have been Dugald Brown, as C&D seemed to have followed the traditional naming pattern, naming the lst daughter after her mother, and 2nd son after her father (ie Christina and Neil). They emigrated to Cape Breton, Nova Scotia in 1839, then on to Fenelon Township later. I have also seen records that mention "Brown alias McCore". You might find some extra information if you search that surname. Hope it helps, Toni _________________________________________________________________ ------------------------------- Quoting the entire text of a previous message in a reply is poor netiquette.
