Hi from NZ. >From the McKinnon Reunion 1859-1985 reads, Charles Mckinnon who migrated to Prince Edward Island, Canada from the Isle of Mull Scotland, was the youngest of seven sons of Charles Mckinnon, the Bard. His brothers not necessarily in order of age were John,Ewen.Laughlin,Donald,Hugh and Neil. Other brothers are thought to have migrated before him. 'Highfield McKinnon's of Prince Edward Island are thought to be direct relations. Charles MvKinnon married Christina Cameron on the 19th April 1808 on the PArish of kilninan Mull, County of Argyll, Scotland. They sailed from Oban, Scotland for Charlottstown, Prince Edward Island 29th November 1858 they sail from Charlottetown for Auckland New Zealand, then onto Port Charmers on the 26th DEcember 1867 settling in Cobden, then up to Wanganui late in 1879.
