Hi Heather, I have only one in my line that I am researching: Mary Lamont, Born abt 1802, Married Donald Nicolson, had 3 Children Alexander, Donald (my line), and Marion I believe they lived in Bernisdale. The 1851 Census entry consisted of - Mary Nicolson, head, widow, aged 59 Alexander, son, 24 Donald, son, 19 Marion, daughter 16 The baptism record for Marion shows she was christened on 18 January 1838, Bernisdale being born in 1835 Her parents are given as Donald Nicolson and Mary Lamond (or Lamont). The MC for my Donald Nicholson and his wife Effie McInnes listed his parents as Donald Nicolson and Mary Lamont. Going back to the 1841 census I could find no record of them again in the Snizort parish. I do not know where they are in the 1861 and 1841 censuses, they may have been mistakenly excluded from the census or they may be in a different parish.
