I can't help with Australian archive documents, but there was an excellent book on the Clearances by an Australian author, Eric Richards, "A History of the Highland Clearances: Agrarian Transformation and the Evictions, 1746 - 1886". This was published in London in 1982. The book has masses of references. If there is any material in Australian libraries or archives, I'm sure it will be mentioned in Eric Richards's book.
